Finch is from California who started playing softball when she was five years old. Doug Finch taught Jennie his first pitching coach. Following her time in high school, she enrolled at in the University of Arizona and was awarded a triple-time All American pitcher as also a first baseman. The Honda Award was also given in 2002 and 2001 when Arizona won the national softball title. Wounded Warriors amputee softball (WWAST) is a collective consisting of amputees who have a purpose to promote awareness and raise funds by playing showcase games, famous softball teams, and other activities which highlight the strength and sacrifices of our military personnel and the way they are able to overcome every obstacle.
