She moved on to the University of Arizona where she was named an All-American three times as well as a first baseman. In 2001, when her Wildcats team was awarded the National Championship title, and again in 2002 she received the Honda Award for the best softballer in the country. The Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball team (WWAST) purpose is to increase awareness via exhibition and celebrity softball games of the sacrifices and perseverance of our troops and to highlight their ability to rise above every challenge.
